Her Story
Elfida Artinoff is an Armenian-Lebanese Couture Designer & Stylist who specializes in creating Mens and Womens Headdresses, Capes, Cloaks, Opera Coats, and Bespoke Accessories.
“Growing up in the dynamic heart of New York City, I was immersed in an environment brimming with art, music, and fashion. I studied Arts and Science at New York University in the '90s, and later pursued further education at the New York Institute of Technology. Post 9-11 I ventured into community building, launching one of NYC's first gourmet internet cafes in FiDi, and later worked as a Quality Assurance Manager and Strategic Analyst in a dot-com startup.
My family’s legacy has profoundly shaped my artistic vision. My father worked with luxury jewelry, including a distinguished 20-year tenure at Rolex, and was a master connoisseur of antique clocks. My mother, a renowned bridal atelier owner in Lebanon, nurtured my appreciation for intricate design and craftsmanship. Together, they exposed me to the world of estate sales, auctions, and museums, igniting my passion for timeless beauty and fine detail. This blend of cultural influences, combined with my global travels, has inspired the eclectic palettes and textures that define my collections.
My designs merge vintage and modern elements, particularly in headpieces that are an evolution of my own DNA. Some pieces are one-of-a-kind, utilizing rare vintage jewelry, while others are fully customizable to suit a client's preferred styles, fabrics, or themes. Drawing from the opulence of old Hollywood and the sleek sophistication of New York City, my creations offer a unique balance of glamour and contemporary edge.
In addition to women’s couture, I was excited to introduce my first men’s collection: a luxurious reversible hooded cape, which was debutted this fall at Paris Fashion Week, 2024.
